Did we reject a story of yours that was later published elsewhere? We want to know!

Our new Reject! feature exclusive to our Premium Edition showcases these stories to show that rejection is normal in the lit mag world. Editor tastes are subjective and varied, and if writers want to succeed, they just need to keep at it.

If we made comments or notes on your story, that’s even better. Whether you incorporated them or not, there’s a good chance we’ll feature your story - meaning we’ll publish snippets of your old draft with our comments alongside an excerpt from the new draft to compare. We’ll let the readers decide if our comments helped.

Even if you don’t have comments from us, you should fill out the form below. Don’t worry, we won’t reject you twice. Every Reject! submission is listed in our Premium Edition along with an updated tally of Rejects! We’ll highlight where your story was published and include a link of your choice to direct people to the story, publication, or your own author page.

Do other lit mags do that? Didn’t think so. Now you have no reason to be afraid of rejection.
