Photography Submissions

Carve is looking for photography to feature as the cover of our online issues. We have a preference for vivid, color images over black-and-white photography, but we will consider everything submitted.

For examples of past photography published, view the covers in The Stories gallery.

By uploading and submitting your photo you agree to the following:

1) You have exclusive rights to the photograph and give Carve Magazine rights to publish it on our website in .jpg or similar format.

2) You grant us the right to modify the original image, including cropping, resizing, and other customizations as needed.

3) You grant us the right to archive the image indefinitely online for continued use with its associated issue, and also for possible use as the cover of future printed anthologies.

Please feel free to submit more than one photograph. You will have to go through the process for each individual submission, but we welcome it. We look forward to reviewing your work.

SUBMISSIONS CURRENTLY CLOSED

We’re currently closed to photography submissions until further notice. As we transition to the dual online/Premium Edition model we’re exploring new ways to incorporate photography into our magazine. We will post new guidelines when we decide how to move forward.
