About the Judge
 
Cristina Henriquez
served as judge for the 2008 contest. She is the author
of Come Together, Fall Apart, (pictured left) a collection of short
stories and a novella. Her stories have been published
in The New Yorker, Glimmer Train, Ploughshares,
TriQuarterly,
and AGNI. She was featured in Virginia Quarterly
Review as one of "Fiction's New Luminaries." She
earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University
and is a graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop. More
